Description

This very, very scarce classic Instro 78 rpm rocker by The Rockin R'S, " THE BEAT " b/w, " CRAZY BABY " on Quality. These two tracks, released in 1959, were the group's first charted hits with "The Beat" their biggest hit! "The Beat" is an Instro, "Crazy Baby" a Vocal.

There is no listing for this 78 rpm in Osborne's Record Guide which would appear that it was pressed in 78 rpm format for the Canadian market ONLY! As far as I could find there are no recorded sales for this 78. Nothing is shown on GEMM, COLLECTOR'S FRENZY, or POPSIKE.

"Crazy Baby" was comped on Rhino Records, " Rockin' Bones: '50's Punk & Rockabilly ". In fact all of their tracks have been comped on many CD's and LP's including AEI, Norton, FED, ACE, Buffalo Bop to name a few.

Record rated Overall Visually VG-, rated Overall Aurally VG+/++ .
