Description

Up for auction here is a pair classic surf 45s. Both featuring the awesome surf number, "Moon Dawg." The first single is by The Gamblers: "Moon Dawg" b/w "LSD-25" (World Pacific 815). Released in 1961. Featuring Sandy Nelson, Bruce Johnston (later of the Beach Boys), and Elliot Ingber (later of Frank Zappa and the Mothers of Invention, and then Captain Beefheart and His Magic Band). The next single is by The Challengers: "Moondawg" b/w "Tidal Wave" (Vault 902). Released in 1963. Different spelling, same classic song written by Derry Weaver, lead guitarist of The Gamblers.
