Description

Hi,
This item is:

  • Very rare UK one sided Decca test pressing

  • Decca SXL 2020 - Atalufo Argenta conducting the LSO - Espana.

  • ONE SIDED TEST PRESSING - this record is side 2 of this classic audiophile release, with absolute 1st press matrix ZAL-3521-5E

  • Very 1st "pancake" pressing - when Decca first started to produce stereo records in the late 1950's I believe they used record presses that were used to press LXT mono records - these didn't have the Wide Band Groove we see in most early SXL series lps, but they had a groove running around the outside of the label. This groove around the outside of the label (a "Pancake" pressing), can only be found in the earliest of Decca stereo pressings.

  • Disc grades EX, great copy, a few minor marks only

  • Housed in a Decca mono sleeve and orange outer card sleeve.
Postage is tracked and insured for this item. I would recommend all records be professionally cleaned prior to playback for the best possible sound.
