Description

Up for auction is a truly unique piece of funk history: a fully signed copy of Kool & the Gang’s Collected 2-LP set. This jacket features 9 distinct signatures from the legendary group, including the "Master of Funk" himself, founding member Robert "Kool" Bell.

This specific copy was signed during the band's current 2025-2026 World Tour, following their prestigious induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Because the band members signed the actual jacket (and not the shrinkwrap), these signatures are permanent and display-ready for framing.

This jacket represents the complete 2026 touring powerhouse:

  • Robert "Kool" Bell: Founding member and bassist (Center signature).

  • Shawn "Shawny Mac" McQuiller: Longtime lead vocalist and guitarist.

  • Curtis "Fitz" Williams: Keyboards and Music Director.

  • Walt Anderson: Lead vocalist.

  • The Horn Section & Touring Band: Including other band members in bold silver paint pen.

Condition Report

  • Vinyl: Near Mint (NM). Both records are unplayed and pristine.

  • Sleeve: Very Good Plus (VG). The signatures are sharp, vibrant, and clear. As is common with dark, high-gloss jackets, there are some minor surface scuffs/scratches on the faces (visible in direct light). The edges and seams are mostly solid, with a few creases and no splits. 

  • Color/Type: Black (180g) vinyl

Shipping: Will be shipped securely in a dedicated record mailer. The record sleeve will be placed in an additional clear plastic outer-sleeve for extra protection.
