A Description of the 'Dash For The South Pole' by Sir Ernest Shackleton.
Side One is Sir Ernest describing his expedition. Side Two is Commander Robert Peary speaking about The Discovery Of The North Pole. Mega-rare 78, in excellent almost mint condition, plays beautifully. This was recorded in 1909, but remained in the Gramophone Company's Historic catalogue for years afterwards. Shackleton died in 1922 so I would guess that this copy dates from that period. The sleeve has been decorated with cuttings about Shackleton.
