Description
Recently I acquired hundreds of LPs in an estate sale. This one was an unlabeled white label Test Pressing on Columbia Records vinyl and had my curiosity. The owner had obvious ties to the music industry, given some other photos, autographs and albums I've researched in this lot. I was surprised to be listening to a pristine recording of The Doobie Brothers' Stampede album, which was officially released April 25, 1975. This was their fifth studio album, which reached #4 on the Billboard Charts and has been certified GOLD by RIAA. This was also Tom Johnston's last album before Michael McDonald took over The Doobie Brothers...
It sounds awesome.
Song list includes:
- Sweet Maxine
- Neal's Fandango
- Texas Lullaby
- Music Man
- Slot Key Soquel Rag
- Take Me In Your Arms
- I Cheat the Hangman
- Precis
- Rainy Day Crossroad Blues
- I Been Workin' On You
- Double Dealin' Four Flusher
I will ship this rare test pressing via USPS Priority Mail to the winning bidder.
