Description
The Beatles "RUBBER SOUL" LP. Still sealed in original shrink wrap with breath holes.
1965-66 stereo pressing on Capitol Records. ST 2442.
The fact that this sealed album contains an original 1965-66 pressing is evidenced by:
a) The manufacturing number of "2" appearing to the left of the RIAA symbol on the back cover. The Scranton plant used this designation up through 1967. Therefore, the album inside cannot be the later-issued "subsidiary" rim print label from 1968 and 1969. This indicates that a 1965/66-pressing is enclosed within.
b) The "needle damage" text appearing on the back cover. This rules-out an issue post-1967. This indicates that a 1965/66-pressing is enclosed within.
c) The colored Capitol Records inner sleeve can been seen through the cover mouth!
This sealed album is CRISP and CLEAR. Shrink wrap is tight. There is a very small spot of shrink missing from the rear cover (near Ringo's head, about the size and shape of a tadpole). Appropriate "breath holes" are evident on the front and rear. Letter "A" pricing sticker is affixed to the back cover. All corners of the LP cover are sharp! The upper and bottom left-hand corners just barely push-through the shrink.
This is an absolutely gorgeous piece -- just like a record store would have sold it in December of 1965!
