RARE UK DECCA SXL 2246 STEREO 1st PRESS ORIGINAL RECORDING WIDE BAND GROOVED
MENDELSSOHN IN SCOTLAND
Issued in 1960 the LP features

SIDE ONE
OVERTURE "THE HEBRIDES" ( FINGAL'S CAVE ), op.26 SYMPHONY No.3 in A minor "THE SCOTCH",op.56 Introduction and Allegro agitato

Scherzo assai vivace - Adagio cantabile - Allegro guerriero and Finale maestro
CONDITION OF THE SLEEVE
As you can see from the scans the cover is in excellent condition : the corners are square and not rubbed - the opening edge is sharp with no lifting of the Clarifoil - the spine is not crushed - the back is clean & bright white with only minor dirt marks, also the flipovers are undamaged. The only flaw are a few very slight creases near the spine and top edge.
CONDITION OF THE CENTRE LABELS & VINYL
The Original Recording Wide Band Grooved centre labels are crisp and clean with no spindle wear. The vinyl is bright and in fantastic condition - I can only see two or three very short light marks (not deep scratches) even under a bright light, I have played it and there is only the odd very light crackle and an occassional pop here and there, but honestly the record does look as if it has very rarely been played.
THIS RECORD HAS NOT BEEN CLEANED WITH A PROFESSIONAL CLEANER
CONDITION OF INNER SLEEVE
The original 1960 inner sleeve is in excellent unmarked condition with only minor creasing.
So there you have it, a very RARE LP in GREAT CONDITION
