We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office. Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable.

Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. SKIP BIFFERTY cleverly work in subtle Beatles references in their songs - pulling some sounds and vocal styling in addition to the lyrical allusions to specific Beatles songs ("there is something within you without a doubt" from Guru, "you want to tell a story all about the man who came to stay" from Inside the Secret.)
Off-beat psych pop heavily influenced by Sgt. Pepper's-Revolver-era Beatles and sunshine pop craft, while adding their own added flavorings.
SKIP BIFFERTY have a sense for song-craft,nearly every song is an ear-worm and after just a few listens you'll find that you know the album much better than you'd think you would.

As far as relatively unknown British psychedelic 60's music goes, Skip Bifferty's only LP ... it STILL sits as one of the best in the genre.
Of course each listener has their own criterion for judging such things, and to these ears, Skip Bifferty's music, along with The End and
Blossom Toe's first LP, is by far the top of the class in
BRITISH PSYCHEDELIC 60's ROCK
Skip Bifferty's self titled LP, is inexplicably for some reason is foreshadowed in higher pedigree by similar London "Now-Sound" bands, such as
'67 Pink Floyd, July, Blossom Toes, Tomorrow, The End, Five Day Week Straw People, Forever Amber....to name just a few. YoU would highly enjoy all of these.
YET:
Skip Bifferty's only LP has NO weakness.... and we are still surprised that their ONLY LP hasn't achieved the cult status it deserves to be on your primary wish-list.
So what makes this 1968 U.K. album so great?
SKIP BIFFERTY brought a kind of catchy, power pop approach to psychedelia. Fans of bands like The Creation, Pretty Things and all-such legends will find much worthwhile in SKIP BIFFERTY among the time period.
While the term of psychedelic "swingin' sixties" underground paisley-rock may cause many to turn away from in thinking of BEE GEES Pop-Psych era of twinkling harpsichords and fantasy lyrics, SKIP BIFFERTY's album is an exception -- and one that fans of rock music of all ilks will find something to LoVe about. At the core, all of all the tracks are ballsy, solid, rock base on which are enhanced by ornament sound-affects with bells, echo, phasing and other enticing effects - the rage of the times. The singer has a deeper, Small Faces type voice than the average British frontman and is able to color the songs with highlights of voice.
The most psychedelic, the trippiest, number here is "Guru" with it's chanting voices, pounding percussion and Eastern backing. It's a great track,
no second guessing.
"Orange Lace" is a beautiful, soaring, psychedelic ballad with a great echoing harmony vocal under the lead.
"Planting Bad Seeds" is high energy psych punk with an imaginative chorus.
"Time Track" is a great guitar driven track that reminds of a great WEST-COAST sixties track being played without the limitations.
"Follow the Path of the Stars" is striking psych-earthiness
"Jeremy Carabine" besides telling a great story soaring in a sublime way that the best of the genre does somewhat the same...
Of course there is the rocking "Yours For At Least 24" with some great lead work and head bobbing rhythm. Many personal favorite's is "Inside The Secret" with haunting lead guitar melody line and choruses that sound like they were MANY years ahead of their time (and they were).
SKIP BIFFERTY rare & sought London Underground rarity rates, song for song as high as any listener of the genre might ever hope to find !
Was never released in the USA ... flat-out missed by the then RCA bozo in charge of high-end quality talents!
