PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question. OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. In order to meet that goal, we will ALWAYS work with our customers on any concerns that may arise. In the unlikely instance that you feel the need to open a resolution dispute before working with us, you will immediately be blocked from any further chance to acquire the rare music we present each and every week. Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback. We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Please give us 5 stars in each category through the feedback system, and we will be able to effectively continue to fulfill your passion for rare and collectible music! RONNIE BIRD
CND - (UNBOXED, Maroon) LONDON Records - MLP 10062
Very Rare UNBOXED Maroon London 1966 FIRST PRESSING in glorious MONO with the big beat punch....
A great teen-scene sixties rave-up artifact influenced by the Kinks, The Who, Stones, Pretty Things, Hollies, etc....
Unlike most of the French pop-rock singers of the 60s, Ronnie Bird's music had a harder edge to it and still holds up well today. He usually recorded French adaptations of British invasion beat-rockers...here, his top Lp, full of hip grooves:::: To check the sound of the fabulous RONNIE BIRD, click on the three lines below, one by one: Ronnie Bird - Je Ne Mens Pas Ronnie Bird - Où va-t-elle ? - YouTube Ronnie Bird - Chante - YouTubeouTube - YouTube YouTubeDuring the mid-'60s, Ronnie Bird was the only French artist to successfully emulate the sounds of the British Invasion across the channel. Bird was one of the few French singers with a facility for singing rock & roll in French without sounding strained or embarrassing. His first few recordings were crafted with the help of expatriate guitarist Mickey Baker, the same Mickey Baker who was half of Mickey & Sylvia and responsible for great session work on numerous rock and R&B songs in the '50s. Baker played on Bird's discs and actually wrote a few tracks with him, although most of Bird's records were French covers of songs by British giants like the Stones, the Who, the Pretty Things, Mike Furber & The Bowery Boys, and the Hollies. For a time, Bird's band included guitarist Mick Jones, who went on to fame with Foreigner in the '70s.
Although extremely derivative of the tougher side of the British Invasion, Bird's covers and originals were respectably hard-driving and well-executed. Dabbling in soul and psychedelia at times as the '60s progressed, Bird eased out of the music business and emigrated to New York in the '70s. SIDE I OÙ VA-T-ELLE

CONDITION: The cover: Thick and colorful cardboard cover is VG++ and great shape for a cover that is shows wear so easily, having a small sticker removal mark above Ronnie Bird lettering on front cover ... it's minor but there, elsewhere only very light handling is visual ... strong shape for such a classic looking cover ... the backcover infact is M- (check photo) ... no alarming problems otherwise, being overall collection worthy with rarity in mind.
The vinyl: all shiny, clean except for a few hairlines, nothing much, visial VG+(+) plays in the excellent audio zones; again, pretty great for this seldom seen rarity from 47 years ago... has clean UNBOXED maroon London labels
