Description

ULTRA RARE VENEZUELAN SPLIT PROMO 45 - ELTON JOHN & ERIC CLAPTON

This is a true collector's gem: a 1975 Promotional-only split 7" vinyl from Venezuela, featuring two of the biggest legends in rock history on one single disc. Pressed by Polydor S.A. to promote the original soundtrack of the movie "TOMMY".

Unique Selling Points:

Split Artist Single: Side A features Elton John, while Side B features Eric Clapton. It's rare to find both on a single promo 45.

"Mago de la Maquinita": Features the legendary "Pinball Wizard" with one of the most unique and sought-after Spanish translations in the vinyl world.

Promotional Status: Clearly stamped with "PROMOCIONAL" on both labels. These were never sold to the public and had an extremely limited print run for radio stations only.

Country of Origin: Venezuelan pressings from the mid-70s are highly prized for their unique character and rarity in the international market.

Details:

Side A: Elton John - "Mago de la Maquinita" (Pinball Wizard)

Side B: Eric Clapton - "Vista Para los Ciegos" (Eyesight to the Blind)

Year: 1975

Label: Polydor (Venezuela) - Catalog Number: 169-3

Condition:

Vinyl (Audio): VG+ (Very Good Plus). Playtested. Sound is crisp, loud, and clear. Minimal details, typical of these vintage pressings, but nothing that detracts from the music.

Labels: Excellent condition. Clean "Promocional" markings.

Sleeve: Original Polydor Venezuela distributor paper sleeve (showing vintage wear as seen in photos).

  • A must-have for Elton John, Eric Clapton, or The Who / Tommy completists!
