ZOOT SIMS

ZOOT At Ronnie Scott's:

Extremely rare 1962 UK LP on the fontana label. Great players include Ronnie Scott and Jimmy Deucher quintets, Harold McNair quartet. Stan Tracy, Kenny Napper, Jackie Dougan. Recorded 1961 and a milestone British live Jazz LP. Superb feel and very hard boppy but with sensitive mellow tones. Vinyl carries visible surface and light marks but still plays very well. Side one plays like excellent and sounds great on the up tempo boppy numbers. Side two suffers from crackle on intro and quiet passages. Graded as Good+ visibly but still enjoyable with 80% play at excellent audio. Laminated thick gloss Garrod/Lofthouse flip back sleeve is very good with some light crease and browning to open edge. Bottom left corner fray and bump. Glued solid with no major problems and graded as very good. Sleeve notes by Benny Green.

Nice to have for completeists collectors.
