Description

I MARC 4 GLP 1004   RARE   ORIGINAL Oct 1970 NELSON RECORDS PRESSING, CATALOG#. GLP 1004 / G.L.P. 1004, ITALY.   ed. "Scogliera"   All tracks credited to 'Santany', alasies Romolo Grano.   2nd press on dark-brown cover common to all MARC 4 re-presses. These were pulled-off immediately after the 1st pressing wich originally came on light-green heavy-cardboard sleeve. Originally each Marc 4's volume from GLP 1001 to 1010 came on different coloured sleeve, and were just a few time later later repressed on this dark-brown cover in order to reach their high demand.   Probably the toughest 'cult' Library label Nelson' I Marc 4. Killer blend of Downtempo Funk, atmospherics, and Lounge/Bossa/Cocktail. Contains fantastic tracks as "Distorsion-Mind" and "The Trip", heavy Psych with screaming organ, "Compression", mellow laid back acoustic guitar with the fat raw drum Breaks plus other rare and raw tracks with sounds samples and loops. Great sessions!   The name I Marc 4 (or Marc 4) comes from the initials of their members: Maurizio Majorana (bass), Antonello Vannucci (Hammond/piano), Roberto Podio (drums/percussion) and Carlo Pes (guitar). Sometimes 'A' stood for Armando Travaioli, the Italian soundtrack composer. I Marc 4 played and recorded most of Armando Travaioli's compositions. I Marc 4 were best known for their funky Italian soundtrack style. They also played and record with well known Italian composers like Ennio Morricone and Piero Umiliani.   Sounds here: https://soundcloud.com/armagideon-times/i-marc-4-glp-1004-1970-psych-library   A1 Leslie Love A2 Catherine A3 Blues Work A4 Deep Bass A5 Fast Bass A6 Distorsion-Mind B1 Sweet-Beat B2 Marketing B3 Canone N. 21 B4 Canone N. 22 B5 The Trip B6 Compression   RECORD: MINT ARCHIVE COPY.   COVER: CLASSIC SIGNS OF WEAR CAUSED BY THE TIME.
