Description
This is a RARE PROMO COPY of Bob Dylan's first LP. Entitled "Bob Dylan" it is the MONO version, Columbia CL-1779. This is an ORIGINAL pressing issued in 1962 on the 6-EYE LABEL and NOT a reissue of any kind. It is a true promo copy with " DEMONSTRATION RECORD NOT FOR SALE " stamped in red on the back cover of the album and both sides of the disk. The record bears stampers, "1A" on both sides. The six scans that are part of this listing should provide the best possible idea of the condition of the album cover and the record. The major flaw on the jacket is on the back cover, the discoloration circling the red “ DEMONSTRATION NOT FOR SALE “ stamp; the seams are intact except for two slits of about a half inch each on the side; there are chips at the corners. As for the record, it seems to have 2 faint spindle marks on side 2, none on side one and it does have inner sleeve marks on both side, but no scratches. It plays without explosive pops or recurring ticks, but with the kind of surface noise, typically between cuts, that one would except from an LP which has been played but handled carefully. Payment by PayPal only. The item will be mailed out in a custom LP mailer to prevent damage during shipping. Insurance strongly recommended. Email me if you have questions.
