Description
If you are reading this, then you know about this 1st pressed label version.
How rare are these ? I don't think anyone has any idea, you hear numbers but truly, no one knows, though Capital could have a close idea if they ever decided to share what they know. They pop up here and there then nobody sees one for awhile. But what everyone agrees on, is that the Stereo 1st pressing version, was produced in much fewer numbers and thus a lot harder to find then the 1st pressed Mono version of this record
I was a serious Beatles collector for over 40yrs and have verified Beatles records for several collectors and stores in the past, and happened upon this little gem quite awhile ago, and has been stored away in my collection since.
So to get straight to the point.....Record collectors hate markers Period !
When you look at these labels, ( someone, well I won't say the name, but read it for yourself ) the first thing that jumps out, is the writing, not just on both labels but also on the Jacket. Only good thing, obviously you can see the Jacket and Record are both original to each other….
There are the markings Side 1: ST-1-2047-A1 Side 2 : ST-2-2047-A1
It also has the IAM triangle stamped into it
On Side 1 there is faint wear on the rainbow, and wear just to the side and above the word STEREO. On Side 2, there again is faint wear on rainbow, but other then writing and wear around hole, it is in clean condition.
There was no inner blue sleeve for this when I found it. I could've added one but being a true vintage purist, I left it in the same way, as it was found. I have never listened to this record ( I preferred mono ) thus it has been stored away along with my other copies of this LP, that I've listed or will be shortly.
The Jacket has Brown Lettering, #3 RIAA, showing wear from aging, some seams have slight splits and tape that someone put on before I purchased this. It has a crease to the right on Paul's face. Has a Sale sticker of $3.87 on upper right of back cover. And lastly, the name at the top of the back cover in black marker along with Beatle names in light pencil or pen alongside the song lists on back cover .
This record is not sound graded and may, or may not play without skips or crackles etc so selling as is, though this is a very rare record in any state.
I stopped listening to records over 10yrs ago due to a disability so all of my LP's are visually graded, not play graded ( my last system that any of my records were played on was a VPI Scout using a Koetsu Black ) Selling As - Is, as this record is not play graded.
Buyer pays shipping and insurance costs. Please check with Seller for up to date shipping costs .
Please check out my other items that will be coming online this week including more versions of this record as well as others....
