Description

SPECIAL NOTE: White spots in photo scan on black vinyl are due to my faulty, lousy scanner..RECORD IS BRIGHT & SHINY WITH NO SPOTS OR SCRATCHES!!!!!!!........Where do we begin??....SUPER RARE limited regional press of a 45 with Picture Sleeve of  'HEY LITTLE SCHOOLGIRL' backed with 'SOMEONE, SOMEWHERE as sung by local Boston AND National legend, MYLES CONNOR!!!...from age 15, Connor was noted for TWO things...his incredible Golden Tone renditions of then-current Rockabilly classics and Originals (Someone, Somewhere) AND petty thievery which grew to national headline art thefts..at one time being a #1 Wanted Fugitive..He had a genius I.Q. and a predilection towards collecting Sumarai swords...He was interviewed on the 60 MINUTES TV show while incarcerated, about the sophistication of his art thefts from some of Boston's most prestigious Museums...he was noted for his jail escapes (one time using the old Dillinger trick of a sculpted, blackened soap bar to resemble a gun to escape)..google and read about this Boston Robin Hood....As a singer & musician, Connor was literally astounding...i saw him perform once back in the 60's. he did a Roy Orbison Medley that had to be seen and heard to be believed. Close your eyes and you swore it was Roy the Boy singing....he'd then shift registers and do Elvis, Gene Vincent, Eddie Cochrane, etc......he particularly enjoyed doing a lot of Leiber-Stoller tunes, including 'there's a Riot Going On'...which seemed to be a particular favorite. If he hadn't chosen the crooked path he would have been a National musical force to be reckoned with. This was his only locally recorded 45. Later a New York-based label (Wink) issued a song which is listed in the reference books...THIS LISTING IS NOT IN ANY REFERENCE BOOKS THAT I HAVE EVER FOUND ...his home bases were the Surf Nantasket & The Beachcomber in Quincy, Mass.......Friday & Saturday nights at The Beachcomber were SRO and spiced with fist fights and good old roots rock & roll in the 50's & early 60's.... MYLES CONNOR the red-haired freckle faced LEGEND of Boston Rock & Roll and the FBI's most wanted man.....WHERE's the movie??????.........record has no scratches, bright & shiny (RCD label out of Boston)...pic sleeve, some creases and general VG wear.....issued in the early 60's...as stated, seldom seen or offered for sale & extremely desirable among collectors....
