FOR SALE:This is a truly unique item. This lp is a one-sided promotional album done by Duke Ellington and His Band for the Marriott/Hot Shoppes organization. It has Duke and Co performing 7 variations on the Hot Shoppes theme song. Not sure of the year on this but I would guess sometime in the fifties. I have never seen this listed in any Ellington discographies, and have never seen it mentioned anywhere else. Probably only a few copies of this were pressed, so for the Ellington fan or collector, this would have to be a real find. It came in a plain white cover with Duke Ellington hand written in ink, and the disc is in fantastic condition NM, as close to perfect as possible.
