INSANELY hard to find LP pressing on the legendary International Artists label out of Houston. This is the only known custom or vanity pressing ever on this label associated with Leland Rogers and Frank Davis.  The Boyles Brothers were a hybrid pop country lounge band that was quite popular in Houston and the south Texas bayou region.  This LP, since it was paid for by the band instead of the label, had a very limited pressing of several thousand copies.  Most were sold at the band’s gigs and it was never repressed.  International Artists were collectible by the late 1960s and I.A. sold the remaining stock to resellers primarily in Texas in 1970.  By the early 1970s, this label was all but gone.  HOWEVER, this custom pressing of the Boyles Brothers (IASC #6801) was never was available to the general public to begin with.

This copy, besides being in near mint shape, and still in the shrink wrap, includes an original Boyles Brothers business card.  PLUS, I am including at no additional change, an autographed cover of the Boyles’ 2nd LP (private, and only other) LP “Across The Country” that was released in 1972 out of Sherman Oaks. California. IT WAS SIGNED IN PERSON by both Wes and Bill Boyles and also by well-known Houston guitarist, Jim Booth.  I grewup in South Texas and I can say one thing without hesitation.

This LP is SO TEXAS.

Any International Artists collector (or completest) needs this LP.  One of the rarest Texas label collectibles in the Lone Star State (anywhere, for that matter).  This album should never lose value and only rise in value in the next century.

I found this in Richmond, Texas and a secondhand shop on US Highway 90 Alternative in the early 1970s. Blew my mind, I’ll tell ya.

The remaining original LP releases on International Artists were by the following artists and all are incredibly rare today:  The Thirteenth Floor Elevators (4 LPs), The Red Krayola (2), Lost & Found (1), The Golden Dawn (1), Lightnin’ Hopkins (1), Engle St. Cloud & The Gentle Reign (1) Bubble Puppy and finally Dave Allen (1).  The Boyles  Brothers are the rarest without a doubt.

Stored vertically in a smoke-free environment since I found it about 45 years ago.

I found this in Richmond, Texas and a secondhand shop on US Highway 90 Alternative in the middle 1970s. Blew my mind, I promise ya.
