Description
Original 1966 issue on US A-Square 104. The Rationals were an Ann Arbor, Michigan band, led by Scott Morgan. This was their first issue of Respect, originally the B-side. As it gained popularity, Respect was reissued as the A-Side, the B-Side being Feelin’ Lost, an original. That combination was picked up for national distribution on Cameo Records. (See listings below for these later pressings.) This recording of Leavin’ Here was not reissued, although the group later cut another version. Aretha Franklin subsequently recorded her chart-topping take on Respect.
Record is VG+. Both sides sound great!
