Artist: RAY BRYANT TRIO
Title: “Ray Bryant Plays”
Label: SIGNATURE. Monaural deep-groove pressing on medium thick vinyl. Label is black with silver text. Catalog number is SM 6008.
Year: 1960.
Personnel: Ray Bryant – piano; Tom Bryant – bass; Oliver Jackson – drums.
Note: This album comes from an extremely well cared-for jazz collection where the original owner cherished his albums, played them once or twice at most, and stored them under optimal conditions. This is a fantastic opportunity for the collector who insists on mint condition.
Condition:
DISC: Vinyl is gorgeous NEAR MINT, a beauty! The playing surface is immaculate, with a high luster, possibly unplayed. Plays flawlessly with superb fidelity. Labels are clean and pristine with no spindle trail marks. A nicer sounding copy does not exist!
JACKET: Jacket is nice VG+ to VG++ with clean front and back panels. Seams are nice, however spine has a small area of cracking, about 2 in. at bottom left. Corners are bumped, and top right corner has a bend. Reverse is free of any writing or stickers, has “Special Price” stamped at bottom right corner. Overall a very fine copy of this scarce and highly collectible debut LP of Ray Bryant.
