Description

I specialize in lost, atmospheric, and hypnotic 45s. Grading is done conservatively, visually. Check unaltered sound clips. I currently have a number of cool popcorn, soul, mambo, rockabilly, garage, R&B, country, surf, boogaloo, blues, funk, psychedelic, Balearic, modern soul, sunshine pop, mod, weirdo wave, heavy/hard rock, exotica, gospel, and oddball instrumental 45 obscurities up for grabs. And, in addition to tons of great 45s from greater Texas and Louisiana, I've listed some cool and weird Xmas-related discs this week.

ARTIST: Duke Jenkins & Orchestra
TITLE: How About That / Since I Met You Baby (Featuring Tenor Sax by Bill Parker)
LABEL: Kent
CONDITION: Strong G (Nice gloss, strong 'n' loud player with lotsa typical scuffs and light scratches. Bit of label damage as seen.)

Brilliant '56 R&B jump blues wailer from the journeyman jazz pianist of "Shake It" and "Mambo Blues" fame. Love the fleet electric guitar lines and the rhythm section's raucous forward propulsion. Flip is an atmospheric late-night blues ballad, smooth and quite lovely. Tough one on this very obscure label.
