Highly collectable 1961 double LP from from the legendary RCA Living Stereo "Shaded Dog" line. RCA revolutionized stereo with these groundbreaking recordings. Long out of print, this is one of the most difficult Sahded Dogs to find.
Condition: Double gatefold record cover has some ring wear, dull corners (top left is stubbed), and a liquid stain that is obvious on the back and inside of gatefold. Vinyl has a few visual scuffs and hairlines... expect occasional small amounts of surface noise. Nothing major.

Review: Jean Morel conducting the Paris Conservatoire Orchestra playing Albeniz's "Iberia" (complete), and Ravel's "Rapsodie Espagnole". The sound is rich and robust. The midrange and strings vibrant and alive. The clarity of the recording, including the deep bass is wonderful. The imaging is also first rate. Double basses are well pitched and dynamic. A great example of the excellence of the early stereo recordings by RCA!

As the adoption of Stereo audio became more widespread, Living Stereo offered a wide range of music and performances in high quality sound. A majority of these records, particularly classical music, offer music, performances and audio quality which are considered definitive. Living Stereo influenced many of the recordings that followed with their recording and marketing philosophies.
