Jascha Heifetz thought of this as one of his showpieces, and he performs it to perfection. Every soloist has a few pieces they excel at over all others, and I feel this is one that Heifetz excelled at.

Bruch's "Scottish Fantasy Op. 46" and Vieuxtemps "Concerto No. 5 in A Minor; Op.37",

with Sir Malcolm Sargent conducting the New Symphony Orchestra of London.

It was recorded in England under the great Decca team w/ Kenneth Wilkinson as the engineer. Heifetz violin is recorded to perfection and the orchestra is tight w / luminous sound and superb playing.
