Description
RCA LSC 2396, BEETHOVEN Piano Concerto No. 3, Gary Graffman (Piano) / Walter Hendl, Chicago Symphony Orchestra (1960) 1s/1s, A1/A1, (I) Indianapolis pressing. This is NOT a reissue – it is the original 50+ year old 1s/1s pressing. This is one of the rarest and most difficult to find of the early RCA’s. This copy is very clean and plays almost perfectly. The piano sound is full and very realistic - recorded in a very wide and deep space with powerful bass. The vinyl grading is EX with surfaces that are clean, glossy and very quiet with NO pops, clicks, or skips, but a few very light tics at the start of side 2, only one of which is noticeable. There are some harmless paper scuffs on each side that make no sound. The labels are clean with very light wear (see photos). The jacket is clean with “FOR DEMONSTRATION PURPOSES ONLY” stamped in gold on the back (see photo). Jacket grading is EX due to a small 1” split at the top right seam that has been neatly taped (see photo). The inner sleeve is also EX. In summary, this is an almost perfect copy of this VERY hard-to-find golden age recording. Feel free to return for full refund if not completely satisfied. Shipping is free anywhere in the continental US. Outside of the US, buyer pays shipping through eBay's international shipping program.
