RCA LSC 2603, BRUCH Scottish Fantasy, VIEUXTEMPS, Concerto No. 5, Jascha Heifetz (violin), New Symphony Orchestra of London, Sir Malcolm Sargent, (1962) 10s/9s (I) Indianapolis pressing. This is NOT a reissue – it is the original 50+ year old pressing. This copy is my own, and the vinyl surfaces are clean, glossy and exceptionally quiet, EXCEPT for 8 very soft tics near the beginning of side 2. These are most likely due to a small half inch scuff at the beginning of the side. There are 2 other soft tics later on this side. Other than that, this copy is very close to perfect. There are some harmless paper scuffs on each side that make no sound. I am grading side 2 as EX+ due to the light scuff and tics at the start – otherwise, it looks and plays NM. The labels are clean with no wear, and the jacket is clean and grades NM with no marks or seam splits, but very tiny corner scuffs (see photos). The inner sleeve is also NM. Overall, this is beautiful copy of this wonderful golden age violin recording that plays almost perfectly. Feel free to return for full refund if not completely satisfied.
