Description
Up for bid is a boxed set of RCA Victor's Red Seal Records called, "A Treasury of Immortal Performances."
Included in this set are four, 45 RPM, red vinyl, translucent records.
Each record contains any number of earlier recordings from great operatic performances; the earliest of which dates back to October 6, 1909!
I am unsure of the release date of this box set, but the text inside the box talks about "unparalleled performances from the past 50 years" and the earliest recording on one of these records is from 1909, so... I'm guessing this set was released as early as 1959... or perhaps a few years later (you know, if my math and skills of deductive reasoning are intact).
All four records appear to be in exceptional condition. The "box" of the box set is in pretty great shape too (see photos).
