Description

Artist: Reality

Title: S/T

Pressing: Orig. DUTCH first press on Blue Elephant Rec‘s!!!

Grade: Vinyl~ Looks Vg, but plays solid Vg+. This record’s been played and has a lot of scuffing and several spindle marks and scratches. Remarkably it play VERY well, and the only track where clicking can be heard is a slow ballad, and easily not one of the better moments on the album,Cover~ Vg + light discoloration, edgewear

Blurb: Easily one of the most sought after rare groove funk/psych bombs to come out of Europe in the seventies, Reality packs a punch that very few of the acts of the time could match. With very tight arrangements, HEAVY bass and crazy percussion, this thing has to be heard to be believed. Also, the Dutch Pressing is on Thick wax, with Deep grooves, thus creating a far superior sound quality when compared to the Polydor release Out of Brazil. It also happens to be MUCH rarer then the Brazil release. I realise that this LP is not in top notch shape visually…but I honestly think you could wait a lifetime to find one that is. That said, due to the quality of the pressing, despite the signs of wear, the LP‘s plays very very well and will leave you grinning from ear to ear

Grading:

M- : wax is clean, looks and sounds unplayed

Vg++ : wax plays perfect though visually it may have a light, inaudible mark or two.

Vg+ : still a good LP, though there is an audible defect, either a mark or background noise.

Vg: wax has several marks that cause clicks or background noise. The LP’s still playable, though it’s not going to sound like new.

Vg-: forget about it

Some people might be wondering, as I have for several years, why, if the record is released on Blue Elephant does the label say Pink Elephant. My only logical response is that it is a subdivision of Blue Elephant. On the back of the sleeve it is stated: Blue Elephant Records, Dist. by the Dutch Record Company. Dureco Amsterdam/ Fonior Brussels. Both the record and the sleeve carry the catalogue # 855.012-H
