THE GREEN SHAG! "GOOD RECORDS FOR GOOD PEOPLE!"
REBECCA & THE SUNNY BROOK FARMERS / BIRTH 1969 MUSIC TRUE 1st US PRESS
••••• Astounding psychedelic relic sought after among collectors. A truly refreshing & ambitious band who were light years beyond the others in the psych scene. Superb songwriting, literate and poetic as well as free-thinking & spirited featuring Dylan inspired vocals from Mickey Kapner with the gorgeous contrasting harmonies & Joplinesque-passion from Ilene Rappaport, Ilene Novog, and of course "Kiki." Hippie/folk influences stacked with electric guitar & psychedelic organ, plus add the wonderful viola & tape collage audio experiments for a TRULY ENIGMATIC & ORIGINAL PSYCHEDELIC ROCK EXPERIENCE, THIS IS ONE RELEASE THAT TRULY LIVES UP TO THE COLLECTOR'S HYPE & REPUTATION.
