Description
Up for auction is a beautiful vintage mono pressing of the Red Garland Quartet album Solar, originally released in the U.S. on Jazzland Records (JLP 73) in 1962:
-Guaranteed original pressing, not recent reissue -Original mono pressing -Original laminated paste-down cover -Original orange Jazzland mono labels -Heavy inflexible vinyl -No UPC/bar code on cover
Condition: Cover is very nice, lamination still retains its original glossy shine. No ring wear or significant rubbing loss. Back is very clean and bright, no signs of aging. Seams are generally very good, though there's a 2" beginning of a separation at the top of the spine. Factory punch hole upper right corner. Corners look nice, a little rub. Nicely preserved and attractive! Grade: Very Good Plus (VG+)
Vinyl looks great, still has its original glossy shine. No obvious scratches or scuffs, but under a strong light, a couple tiny faint superficial marks are visible, not significant, nor do they affect the quality of playback, which is excellent. Labels are clean, no wear around spindle holes. Looks like this record has maybe been played only once or twice at most but handled with care.
Spot-Tested: I've spot-tested this record, and when played in the recommended Mono Mode, the sound quality is excellent, clean and clear full-bodied mono fidelity. Not audiophile perfect, but none of these vintage pressing are, but still a very nice sounding record.

I remove the records with inner sleeves from the covers prior to packing. I sandwich the record between two pieces of cardboard for padding and protection. I also reinforce the corners of the shipping box to protect the corners of the record jacket from damage.
