COLLEGE RADIO STATION COLLECTION
HERE IS YOUR OPPORTUNITY TO ADD SOME RARE PIECES TO YOUR COLLECTION. OVER THE NEXT COUPLE MONTHS I WILL BE LISTING A TON OF RECORDS OBTAINED FROM A LOCAL COLLEGE RADIO STATION. MOST ARE PROMOTIONAL PIECES FROM VERY OBSCURE ACTS. MOST OF THESE HAVE BEEN PLAYED BY THE STATION.
I HAVE SOLD MANY PIECES OF THIS COLLECTION WITH GREAT RESPONSES FROM THE WINNING BIDDERS.
- MOST OF THE JACKETS HAVE THE STATIONS CALL LETTERS WRITTEN ON THEM IN BALLPOINT INK, SOMETIMES THERE IS A NOTE WRITTEN ABOUT THE BAND. ALSO SOME OF THE COVERS HAVE A WHITE LABEL ON THEM FOR ORGANIZATIONAL PURPOSES.SOME OF THE LABELS HAVE TRACKS STARRED OR UNDERLINED. SOME OF THE JACKETS SHOW EDGE WEAR.
- CONDITION VARIES FROM PIECE TO PIECE, I AM NOT A RECORD GRADER, THAT IS WHY ALL OF THESE RARE PIECES HAVE A STARTING BID OF ONLY $3.99. PLEASE DO NOT BID IF YOU ARE EXPECTING AN ABSOLUTELY MINT PIECE, ALTHOUGH MOST ARE IN VERY GOOD SHAPE, AND WOULD MAKE AN EXCELLENT ADDITION TO ANY COLLECTION. ALOT OF THE VINYL HAS NOT BEEN PLAYED.
SHIPPING COSTS:
THESE WILL BE SHIPPED IN STRONG LP MAILERS, MADE SPACIFICALLY FOR THE ALBUMS. NO PROBLEM COMBINING SHIPPING FOR MULTIPLE ITEMS.
DOMESTICALLY: $4.99
INTERNATIONALLY: $10.99-14.99
ARTIST: RED VIOLET RED
ALBUM TITLE: 12 MILES OF SKY

ORIGINAL PRESSING!!!
These last weeks I'm reorganizing my collection thanks to the great database that is DISCOGS, they still lack many records to upload and I go collaborating in what I can going up some. In this work I added a 12" record that was in my collection from many many years called RED VIOLET RED (before ELEVEN POND LP was known or had it in my collection). Let us notice the sound was similar to ELEVEN POND, same cover type made by hand, limited and numbered, fact in US, quickly came me to mind Jeff's Gallea of ELEVEN POND!!! then I checked the correspondence address that leave in the back-sleeve and was exact to the one that leave in the inner-sleeve of ELEVEN POND's record ....... and... bingo!!! I understood that RED VIOLET RED was a kind pre-ELEVEN POND release. Jeff Gallea made this record with other musicians not on later ELEVEN POND record but the sound is really similar and it advances the sound that will have the later record without a doubt. This was very touching for my and I wanted to share that information with you and with the other collectors!!!
Now, don't be discouraged by Candy Cane. It... has NOT aged well. The B side, 12 Miles of Sky, is a dark synth-wave masterpiece that is just as good as the best Eleven Pond tracks! This presumably) concludes the Eleven Pond-related stuff we'll be hearing (until Jeff finally decides to finally release the album's worth of unreleased stuff he has). Hopefully this will tide you over... happy 2010!
