Description

Up for offers is an extremely rare 45 on the Afro Black label from Jamaica - the A side is Joe Morgan & the Steamers - Forward ever - B side Afro All Stars - Version Released in 1972 (or maybe 3 ?), the matrix numbers are DSR (Dynamic Sounds Records) JM 6813 A/6814 B. As can be seen, apart from some minor wear,  the labels are very clean. Visually, the record is in VG- to VG condition with some marks and scuffs though it plays through (albeit with some surface noise and scratches.) Nevertheless, an extremely rare and collectable record . The record will be packed safely & securely and sent by trackable mail.

IMPORTANT I will not accept bids from anyone with feedback of less than 10. If you bid, I will cancel the bid and, if you put in a winning bid, I will offer the record to the next highest bidder. I know we all have to start somewhere but sadly, there are a few dishonest people who spoil things for the vast majority of good honest buyers/collectors.

 I have had a couple of requests for sound clips which, unfortunately, I am unable to provide. However in answer to a question, (on a scale of one to ten, how audible would you say the surface noise is?) I hope the following is helpful.

I have played both sides & would suggest the first 30 seconds or so of the A side are maybe a 3 to 4  IE audible in the background but certainly not overpowering - the music is much louder than the crackle. After this, the A side is probably roundabout a 2 as much due to the  quality of the pressing though there are a few clicks & pops. The start of the B side is clean - probably again a 2  but with some audible scratches in the middle and towards the end. However, both sides play through OK with no skips/jumps on my (basic )turntable though remember, these records were never designed to be played on modern state of the art equipment.
