Okay rocksteady and reggae fans, this is for you! Up for bid is "Reggae Power" compilation on Sir JJ, Jamaica, 1969. Without doubt, one of the rarest early reggae lps there is! This is the original issue from Jamaica, and NOT the Trojan UK release. Features absolute classics from The Ethiopians, Roy Shirley, and the Kingston Tops. Song titles are as follows:

  • Everything Crash-The Ethiopians
  • What a Fire-The Ethiopians
  • Dancing Reggae-Roy Shirley
  • Losing You-The Ethiopians
  • Robert F. Kennedy-The Kingston Tops
  • Hong Kong Flu-The Ethiopians
  • Life-Roy Shirley
  • Gun Man-The Ethiopians
  • Feel the Spirit-The Ethiopians
  • Your Smile-Roy Shirley
  • Dollar of Soul-The Kingston Tops
. Notes on condition: Honestly, I doubt you will ever find an example in this nice a condition! Condition of vinyl is a very conservative VG (I'd consider this VG+ if it weren't for its age). There is only one slight mark on the vinyl (Side A, part of one song only), and it is very small and does not affect play. Labels are good considering age. You can tell in the pic that the labels and center hole are slightly worn. This does not affect play at all. Condition of jacket is VG, showing very very minor ringwear and general wear. I actually can't believe this was pressed in Jamaica, as the quality of the pressing is very high! I've set a very modest reserve on this rarity, so start bidding! Payment by Paypal, or Money orders only (U.S.). Internationalby Paypal. All payment should be made within 10 days of auction's end. Shipping is $6.50 for priority, or $4 media (U.S.). Canada $7 airmail, overseas shipping at $12. I would also consider purchasing insurance on this item as well. Thanks for bidding, and let me know if you have any questions!
