• Automatic For The People is the eighth studio album from American alternative rock band R.E.M.,
recorded between June 1991 and July 1992 and released by Warner Bros. Records on October 5, 1992 in the United Kingdom and Europe, and on the following day in the United States. R.E.M. began production on the album while their previous album, Out Of Time(1991), was still ascending top albums charts and achieving global success. Aided by string arrangements from John Paul Jones, Automatic For The People features ruminations on mortality, loss, mourning and nostalgia.

Upon release, it received widespread acclaim from critics, reached number two on the US Billboard 200, and yielded six singles:

  •Drive (September 21, 1992)
  •Man On The Moon (November 9, 1992)
  •The Sidewinder Sleeps Tonite (February 1, 1993)
  •Everybody Hurts (April 5, 1993)
  •Nightswimming (July 12, 1993)
  •Find The River (November 29, 1993)

General Info

I try and grade condition but please note that a lot of gradings are on a visual basis only as simply not the time to play all the vinyl and CDs listed.

Vinyl will be sent out with card stiffeners either side of item for protection. Vinyl will also be removed from outer sleeve to prevent any splitting in post. If housed in inner picture, lyric sleeves, then vinyl will be placed in plain white paper sleeves again to prevent any splitting in the post.

CDs will be posted in small jiffy bags with an additional card stiffener. Box sets are sent out in sturdy boxes.

Parcels will generally be sent out the next business day after payment.

Please look out for my other auctions as I will be listing more vinyl and CDs over the coming months.

Any issue on receipt please contact me in first instance to resolve.  Thank you for looking at my auction.
