Description
This is a beautiful MINT copy of R.E.M.'s incredibly rare Hib-Tone single "Radio Free Europe" (b/w "Sitting Still") that introduced R.E.M. to the world in 1981. The record is shiny black with no marks and plays beautifully with no surface noise. The picture sleeve is mint except for the tiniest crease at the center top formed by the record itself against the paper. This is the 2nd pressing as it has the record label address on the label itself (the picture sleeve uses the same address but says "r.e.m. PO Box 8032, Athens GA 30601). The matrix/runoff engraving says "HT-0001 Radio Free Europe OK? Masterfonics." I am the original owner of this 45 and it has been kept in plastic in a record case for 39 years. BTW the A-side is an entirely different recording with many different lyrics than the "Murmur" LP version from 1983.
Buyer agrees to add $4 for Media Mail postage in the US (or $10 for Canadian postage or $15 for international postage). Please write if you have any questions.
