This Numbered Edition (this is #2524 of 6000) was ONLY available to Fan Club members at Christmas in 1992 and has been Out-Of-Print and highly sought after ever since!
Many people pay top dollar for this record alone but this auction includes the ENTIRE PROMO PACKAGE that was shipped along with this album! The package includes:
• "Where's Captain Kirk" b/w Toyland 7" single numbered 2524 of 6000
• beautiful letterpressed card with Henry David Thoreau quote and card featuring names of members of the band and the whole REM organization
• "Automatic for the People" promo sticker/postcard with lyrics to "Find the River" on the back and four black stickers with "Automatic for the People"
• Original letterpressed envelope that held the card, postcard, and sticker sets
• Also included is the original stamped heavy cardboard mailing envelope that the package was originally mailed in
I must stress that this is an amazing and rare package! The album has never been played and all the pieces are in mint condition. There is a blemish on the outside envelope from the original adhesive mailing sticker that has been removed. This is a minor blemish at best.
Surely a unique piece for any REM fan or collector! Thanks for bidding. Please ask any questions as this sale is final. There are no surprises on this one... it's a great piece in great condition at a fair price.
