ITALIAN LIBRARY MASTERPIECE!
Remigio Ducros absolute gem quite hot at the moment. First volume of the 'America Giovane's series which involved here the uncredited collaboration of genius Sandro Brugnolini (from SIAE) and wife Daniela Casa along with his brother Paolo Casa. Released around '72 like the other volumes this Library contains fantastic highly-desiderable tunes for estimators of the genre and producers because of its KILLER heavy Breaks on the entire album. Very tasty nuggets inspired by American sounds interpreted by the cult arranger Ducros in DEEP Underground/Alternative mood. Cool Psychedelic-Hippie artwork that distinguishes all the 3 America Giovane LPs.Totally DOPE and essential.
Basically there's a Country Rock/Blues taste on numerous tracks of the LP, some experimentations in sounds that presume Daniela Casa's touch here with strange Country/Hippie Folk Rock that seems came out from her top hat. Hard Drums patterns characterize many tracks along with groovy Funky percussions. Maybe at the top of the list we have "BLACK CONGREGATION", a lovely rare example of Library music with lyrics also comped on "Souno Libero vol.2": Incredible Vocal Deep Funk accompained by stoned flute and heavy drums rhythmics; moody Breaks and heavy bass too, insane! Along with "BLACK NOT COLOURED", 45-style Deep-Funky Breaks similar to "Sgambetto" Ducros' theme, both seem taking inspiration by American BLACK protest music. Obsessive grooves here also on the following "RIDE ON", more sleazy rhythmics that feels a Jazzy Hip-Hop basis. "THE NEW PHILOSOPHY" on the other side it's another amazing nugget: Progressive Jazz mood accompained by Funky guitar riff; Fender Rhodes and sublime Flute solos in perfect Gino Marinacci's style. "CAMPUS SIT IN" Psychedelic loop exploitation together with "HENDRIX MEMENTO" Psych guitar solo.
