NEVER OPENED, NEVER PLAYED ... a PERFECT COPY with 4 sharp corners ... anyone who collects scarce South American psych albums knows how extremely difficult it is to get an original pressing that will just play fairly well, nevermind the issues ... here, a really special copy when considering the avove, this is a PERFECT SEALED FIRST PRESS of an authentic (three $$$ figure valued) mid '70s "ACID ARCHIVES" underground LP ::::

Boy, those guys down in Mexico sure do love their fuzz guitar! Renacimiento (Spanish for “rebirth”) is mainly the work of Hector Manuel Martell and the US-born Philip Joseph Watkinson. This custom (private pressed) record has uplifting good-vibes all through it,  melodic summery garage/psych sort of sound - yet still very primitive, with bass, drums and organ, plus electrified guitar solos on every cut, a majority being of the fuzz variety. Some of those leads really rip, particularly on ‘Date Cuenta’ (‘Pay Attention’) and ‘Arriba La Juventud’ (‘Up With The Young People’).  The album even contains those wonderfully inept (charming) spots, where the guitarist hits a couple of off notes on ‘El Hijo Del Hombre’ (‘The Son Of Man’) – sounding like his fingers got tangled up in the strings! Some of the other highlights include: ‘Unido's Estamos’ (‘We Are United’), ‘La Balada Del Inconverso’ (‘The Ballad Of The Unconverted’), ‘Llanto’ (‘Lament’) and ‘Al Dios No Conocido’ (‘To The Unknown God’). As with all Mexican private presses, this is ludicrously rare – who knows how many other unknown goodies like it are floating around in the South of the border underground, waiting to be discovered???   A:
