Description
You are bidding on a RARE record from Diana Dors who is something of an icon of British popular culture. Her heyday was in the 50s as the glamorous movie star answer to Marilyn Monroe and Jayne Mansfield with a career that continued through comedy work and post modern self-reference until her death in 1984. She features on the cover of The Beatles' Sgt Pepper's album so look for that one.
This is the famous Swingin' Dors album from 1960 in lounge-style swing, 12 tracks with orchestration by well-known big band producer/arranger Wally Stott whose work featured strongly on so many radio programmes.
This vinyl LP is RED and was distributed by Pye Records in Melbourne Australia. It is in mint condition possibly never played. THE COVER IS A STUNNING EXTRA LAMINATED GLOSSY SET OF 2 DOORS WITH DIANA BEHIND THEM.

The cover and red LP are excellent features. This cover has some insignificant marks on the cover but it is as near to perfect as can abe expected. It has been kept in a dark cupboard since issue in 1960.

CONDITION: As stated. Perfect. never played.
WEIGHT = approx 400 grams.
If you are doing a postage calculation, please remember to add something for the weight of the packing which will be around 250 - grams boxed and registered and insured if required. Note that I am listing some collectible LPs this week and combined postage will keep your costs down.
SIZE: 30 cm square and will be just over 2 centimetres when boxed/stiffly wrapped.

I have other items on sale and many are antiques. I recently saw something I sold (all too cheaply!) on display in a museum in Hong Kong, so now is a chance to pick up something of quality - perhaps shop early for Christmas! Giving antiques preserves history, recycles and can help with gift choice for that really difficult person because most people love to get a piece of the past.
