Description
This is an old record album containing nine great gospel quartet records by J. E. Wilson and the Revivalaires Quartet, all on the International Recordings label. Includes the famous Makin Up My Dyin' Bed, which is the only one not belonging to the set the others come from. There was a nine disc set that they released with no cover that I am aware of, and this is all nine discs except number 8. But instead I have the Dyin' Bed record, which is the one most associated with the Revivalaires.
The records included in this set are:
1 - Looking for a City (w. JE Wilson)/ Satisfied
2 - I Cried Holy (JE Wilson)/ I Want to Go There
3 - My God is Real (w Wilson) / He Bought My Soul (w Wilson)
4 - Take My Hand Precious Lord (w Wilson) / Everybody Will be Happy Over There
5 - When I Meet You (w Wilson) / Someone to Care (w Wilson)
6 - I'll Tell it Wherever I Go (w Wilson) / Something Within (w Wilson)
7 - Bound for the Kingdom (w Wilson) / Working on the Building
9 - How About Your Heart (w Wilson) / Robe of Calvary (w Wilson)
All the above are in lovely VG+ shape. Some more like VG++/M-
The ninth record is
Makin Up My Dyin' Bed / Job's God is True (w Rev. Jack Coe)
This last one is more like VG, with some scuffs and some wear, but plays really nicely. Not distorted or deeply scratched.
A rare collection. The album in which all these records will be sent is in lousy condition, but it holds them together well enough for the purposes of mailing.
