Ruggerio Ricci with the London Symphony Orchestra, Mendelssohn Violin Concerto in E Minor op 64, Bruch Violin Concerto in G Minor op 26, stereo LP, Decca SXL 2006, England 1958.
Label states recording first published 1958. Grooved ED1. Matrixes ZAL3525-2E ; ZAL3526-2E.
Collectable record but read the following.
This record comes from a small collection that had been in storage a long time. Browning on the covers is evident, vinyl was very dusty. In some cases I have had to replace inner sleeves. Records are generally very good to excellent visually. I have cleaned and played the records twice. While the sound has improved markedly on the SXL series, there is still some noise. SAX are a bit more crackly, ASD worse. I am only selling the best and rarest ones. If you have access to professional cleaning facilities they may improve more. Nothing can be guaranteed, however.
Cover has some light edgewear, writing on two edges of rear, and some foxing inside.
Vinyl is quite shiny but has a few small handling marks, and curved light markings that may be from a record changer. A couple of light scratches which play fine. Sounds very good, but with light noise. Noise may vary from quite low to moderate.
