Description

A musical inquiry into the nature of violin sound, comparing the ‘voices’ of fifteen historic and rare violins. All played on this original issue of “The Glory of Cremona”. Ruggiero Ricci, violin and Leon Pommers, piano.

 

Brunswick AXA 4521. UK pressing released 1964. Mono issue. Grooved labels. Splendid sound.

 

Vinyl plays near MINT. Surface has some greyish flaws common for old Decca pressings. No spindle marks on the labels. Superb sound.

 

Jacket EX-. Mild browning and original purchase price written top left on back. Tiny corner wear right under.

 

Complete with 4 page booklet.
