Description
RICHARD BERRY PHARAOHS Louie Louie 1964 UK Ember EP, VINYL EX, Pharoahs
Richard Berry and The Pharaohs, Louie Louie.
1964 UK Ember Rhythm and Blues Series Vol.3 EP housed in picture sleeve, EMB EP 4527.
A really nice issue of one of the toughest UK EPs to locate, this really is pretty scarce.
Vinyl in visually close to near mint condition. Close inspection of the centre spindle areas reveals just one wispy spider trail mark each side. The rough textured paper labels are bright as new with no rubbing or loss of lustre. Undefaced and free of sticker or pen marks. The vinyl surfaces still have a really glossy sheen and display no immediately visible marks. Using a magnifying glass reveals just a few of the tiniest of light hairline scuffs and tiny greying patches.
Playback is generally very bright and clean. The sound is still bright, punchy and not distorted. There are a few instances of very minor background crackle, but these are short-lived and quiet, and mostly the surfaces are quiet and clean. There is no loud crackle or scuffing, and there are no clicks or ticks. Still provides a really superb listening experience, with background noise never being any distraction to listening pleasure.
Sleeve EX. Clean, bright and unmarked. The front laminate is clean and unpeeled. A slight ringwear impression to front, but only one tiny darkening line from this at top, measuring no more than an inch across. Rear of sleeve also clean and with intact undamaged visible backflaps. No edge wear or seam splits and entry side is crisp and not worn or feathered.
All in all, a really nicely preserved example of this most elusive of UK EPs.
