Description
RICK EYK - "Simple Pleasures (Dream On) / You Only Think That You Think You Think"
1974 Private issue 45
(Rick was from here in Grand Rapids Michigan. I recall him playing around town back in those days, but since I did a night shift for on-air Rock radio back then, I rarely got a chance to see locals play the club scene-as few as we had in the early 70's.
I found this single in my massive mess in my room of 45's a few weeks ago - never realized I even had it. Am quite blown away with the quiet ethereal quality put into these two tracks. I spent most of the day trying to locate him but have struck out. I believe we chatted back in those days a few times, but my memory is getting hazy.
Not even sure he is even still with us.
This single is crazy rare. I've only seen one other copy ever put on Ebay and it sold for more than my starting bid.
The disc has a few marks on one side from storage, but thankfully none can be heard. There 'are' a couple of light 'ticks' on the flip side from the pressing itself, but all in all, this plays like new. It has only been played once - to make the audio clips below).
LISTEN TO THE ACTUAL CLIPS before deciding to bid so there will be no misunderstanding as to what you will get if you win.

NO 'BEST OFFERS' ACCEPTED
Continuing with the liquidation of my record collection passing them on to people who can more appreciate them.
These are items from my collection of nearly 40,000 promo singles, LP's & CD's from the 60's thru the 90's that I was
fortunate to acquire from doing 37 years of on-air Rock Radio.
All of my records are guaranteed original pressings unless otherwise noted.
These records were sorted, stored, moved a few times, and then stored again for decades. Some carefully,
others were not. All of my gradings are visual, and more often than not, quite generous.
Just check my feedback. You can bid and buy with confidence.
MY GRADING SCALE
(very similar to the Goldmine standard)
NM (Near Mint): Record will show no serious scuffs or scratches in the playing area. May have minor scuffs on edges from decades of storage, or a small scuff, scratch or paper scuff on playing area.
It's near mint, not mint (which would be 'sealed' to me). There should be no audible distractions.
NM- (Near Mint minus): A scuff or two or light scratch or two on either or both sides that may be heard.
VG+: Scuffs & some minor scratches in the playing area. Some will most likely be heard.
VG: Many scuffs or scratches that will be heard but record should still play fine.
Record grading is subjective. I offer a 100% money back guarantee on everything I sell.
