INSIEMISTICA - ITALIAN LIBRARY Lp music by RINO DE FILIPPI Original Italian pressing on GEMELLI label (GG ST 10.026) from 1973. Desirable and super-obscure lounge session (privately released after a family feud between the Sermi label owners that resulted in the creation of the Gemelli label ;) Yet another masterpiece by De Filippi and one that has always been elusive. Elegant, psychedelic and bewitching with a sophisticated sound closer to Alessandroni's Sermi label sessions. Funky lounge and bossa on several important trax. The opening theme on our soundclip is the amazing INSIEMISTICA with B-boy drums and I Marc 4 style rhythms followed by the gorgeous Alessandroni influenced FORME GEOMETRICHE / the psychedelic fuzz distortions and moody flute of RICERCHE IN LABORATORIO (with leftfield hip hop beats) / the bossa SPORT then BIMBI NEL MONDO with groovy oriental motifs and BIMBI ALLEGRI which should also appeal to certain Japanese collectors. The mellow APPLICAZIONI TECNICHE closes our soundclip. Hypnotic / infectious compositions and some themes have that giallo thriller film ambience and are actually quite spooky for an otherwise, children's themed recording. Some fabulously complex drum patterns on this recording too. Superb artwork sleeve. Seldom comes up for sale. Very rare Italian Library!!! Full tracklisting: INFANZIA FELICE / GINNASTICA RITMICA / INSIEMISTICA / BIMBI NEL MONDO / BIMBI ALLEGRI / EDUCAZIONE FISCA / FORME GEOMETRICHE / SPORT / RICERCHE IN LABORATORIO / APPLICAZIONI TECNICHE

Vinyl is in shiny VG+ condition overall with hairlines / light scuffs and some tiny scratches.  Faded, pressing shadow mark across part of 'Educazione Fisca' and 'Infanzia Felice' but both trax are not important. All themes play with varying degrees of surface noises and some themes have intermittent pops and ticks (as you can hear on the soundclip). The laminated thick card sleeve with children's nursery school / kindergarten style pop art imagery is in strong VG++ condition with wear and mini split to the front bottom left corner. Corner ding to bottom right corner. Otherwise, little wear elsewhere. Sharp looking item overall. A touch of ring wear. Some dirt marks from storage. Camera flash glare to sleeve and label photo. Very rare Library Lp!!!

Our record grading: SEALED / M- / VG++ / VG+ / VG
