Featured here is A 45 RPM RECORD AND MATCHING PICTURE SLEEVE FROM ONE OF THE YOUNG 50'S SINGERS WHO DIED WITH BUDDY HOLLY IN A TRAGIC PLANE CRASH WAY BEFORE HIS TIME. This is Del-Fi #4117 having the songs "Little Girl" and "We Belong Together" and comes with the original introduction letter and order form for Ritchie Valens photos. On the back says "A DEL-FI SOUVENIR AUTOGRAPHED RECORD" (see photo #2). It was never filled out and has stayed with the original record inside the sleeve for more than 50 years. This record came from a local collector that bought it from his neighbor girl back in 1961 and has had it ever since. He was a meticulous collector and has kept this piece in incredibly clean condition. The vinyl is beautiful, having absolutely no scratches and only minor damage to the label. I have photographed the label on both sides to see the blemishes. One side has the original girl's name label attached and the other side a very small paper pull and the number "18" written near the left border. Other than that, the label is very nice and clean. The picture sleeve I would say is "excellent", having only very slight ring wear and a mildly bent upper right corner. There are absolutely no seem tears or separations on the picture sleeve anywhere. The instruction letter is in what I consider mint condition, having just the original fold crease from the factory. I'm sure these letters are very scarce as most people probably sent in for the photos or threw the letter away. Overall, this is a very nice piece of 50's rock n roll memorabilia.
