Description
ROB CASSELS -- Evening Pastoral -- hard to find, original 1979 U.S. album. Groovy private press LP w/ deep-fried Southern Rock vibe ala Skynyrd, Dixie Dregs etc. on greasy, ballsy tracks like "Battle's Won" and "Round The Mountain." (Guitarist Steve Morse of The Dixie Dregs and later, Deep Purple, is featured on most of the songs.) There's also a strange Hippie-Xian vibe lurking around here somewhere (check out the photo of long-haired Cassels on the back w/ hippie smock, holding a ball & chain ...) -- and mixed in with the Southern Rockers are eerie Outsider Music tracks like the half-sung/half-spoken "Baby Song" and several spacey instrumentals ("Lunar Trot" etc.) See photo for track list. Cover: VG+/VG++, ring wear and wear at corners, creasing around edges. Record: Near Mint-, on Sword private label, U.S. press, includes lyric sheet insert.
