DESCRIPTION: The hype is true, this is a audiophile must have. This is a reference audiophile recording that you will put on again and again, not only for the sound quality, which is superb, but for the beauty of the performances. Immediately I knew this was a special LP by the depth of the recording and the seemingly real presence of the instruments in the room. “Ballad Of The Runaway Horse” the duet with Jennifer Warnes written by Leonard Cohen, is hands down the best thing I have ever heard her sing.
Mastered by Bernie Grundman, this is pure joy to listen to. Many audiophiles forget that no matter how much you spend on equipment, interconnects, cartridges and surrounding paraphernalia, it is the software that matters the most, that being, the record itself. This one was done right. If you do not buy this one, please put it on your list, it is a must have!
