Description
Extremely rare commemorative HMV 78 rpm 10 inch single. To celebrate the centenary of their Oxford Street store, HMV pressed 999 copies of this special single which was given away free on the day in-store. Side A is "Millennium" by Robbie Williams. Side B features Sir Edward Elgar's 1920 recording of "Nimrod", part of his Enigma Variations. Accompaniment is by The Royal Albert Hall Orchestra, and is conducted by the composer.
Issued in a special die cut sleeve, this numbered special promotional record was the last vinyl product ever pressed at EMI Hayes. Due to a mastering error, the sides were switched, and "Millennium" is in Mono and features unusual EQ.
This has been in my possession since I won it in October 2000, and have never played it. It's a very unusual and collectable record. If you have any questions relating to this item, please do not hesitated to ask. U.K sales sent via Royal Mail Second Class Signed For. International sales via eBay International sales program. Prompt payment means prompt dispatch! Good luck, and thank you for looking.
