Description
I am parting with some of my treasured LPs. Here's a Columbia 2 eye mono copy of Robert Johnson's King of the Delta Blues Singers circa 1963. I bought this LP sealed, and it has been in my collection for many years receiving gentle and careful play on my finely engineered turntable. The LP plays beautifully, and still retains the gloss and shine as if it was brand new. It basically is brand new. The cover front and back retain their original colors, and the white is not faded or discolored on either side. The cover is still in it's original shrink. The original inner is MINT inside the cover, and has not been touched since I opened the LP. This LP is not easy or cheap to find in this kind of condition, and the sound quality here is amazing. The performance is legendary. The stuff of legends, where he went down to the crossroads and made a pact with the devil, and was not seen alive again. The songs recorded here laid the ground for not only generations of blues artists, but also for rock music, particularly British Invasion bands as well as The Doors. I always feel that once an LP is open and played it is inherently NEAR MINT. However, this is a case where this opened LP is really MINT. It's a top archive type copy.
I love original original pressings because I feel every LP is of it's time and place. The vinyl, and record pressings are all from that moment in time, and no re-pressing or re-mastering will ever make the sound better for me.
PLEASE CHECK OUT MY OTHER LPS FOR SALE NOW ON EBAY. I AM POSTING SOME TREASURES. SOME ARE RARE AND COLLECTIBLE, AND OTHERS ARE JUST GREAT ALBUMS LIKE THIS ONE IS.
