Description:

  • 1961 US first pressing mono with 6 eye Columbia label
  • This is the cornerstone of any blues record collection. These songs were recorded in 1936 & 37 and most of them went on to be covered by major rock bands such as Cream, Led Zeppelin, Fleetwood Mac, Eric Clapton, Johnny Winter etc.
  • It is considered one of the greatest and most influential blues releases ever.
  • In 2003, the album was ranked number 27 on Rolling Stone magazine's list of the 500 greatest albums of all time

Condition:

  • The record is in VERY GOOD+ condition. The vinyl is bright and shiny with a few surface marks and a gentle warp which does not affect the play at all. Overall the record plays great only light surface noise in places

  • The labels are clean with moderate spindle trails

  • The sleeve is graded VERY GOOD+ with light shelf wear and a store name rubber-stamped inside the cover. No defects or damage. Some wear/rubbing on the top edge, but all the seams are tight with no splits and the spine is fully readable
